The French actress, born in Lyon, arrives in Paris, in 1927 and takes dancing and singing classes.
In 1931, she is introduced to Sacha Guitry and is hired to act in one of his plays before becoming his third wife in 1935. She stars in numerous of his plays and films and seduces the public with her modern and natural attitude. She is also admired for her beauty and elegance and is seen as the ideal 'Parisienne'. In 1951, she ends her acting career and devotes herself to collecting a considerable impressionist and modern art collection. At her death, she bequeaths her collection to the Musée des Beaux Arts de Lyon and her impressive fashion wardrobe to the Musée de la Mode et du Textile, in Paris. Jacqueline Delubac was, thus, a complete muse of the arts.
